Abstract :The monument at National Lijiang Normal School was built in February, 1942, on which there are three kindsof writings, including Chinese characters,Dongba graphs and Geba graphs. It is very rare in the Naxi nationality areabecause it is used a combination of Chinese characters and minority writings. The minority writings on both sides of the monument is obscure and lightly carved, which is hard to read, but we can know that the writings partially records the Sina-Japanese War. After the battle of Nankou, the families of the troops moved from Nankou in Hebei province to Lijiang to establish a new Nankou village. This article translates the minority scripts one by one and deciphers thecontents of the monument.
Key words :The  monument of National Lijiang Normal School; Dongba graphs; Geba graphs
